Smart Fortwo Coming to China
Dr. Dieter Zetsche, CEO of Daimler AG has announced that Smart plans to release the Fortwo model in China by mid 2009. The vehicle has already been successful with its recent launch in the US and the automaker is confident that the vehicle will also be well received in China. There is a high demand for compact vehicles in the country where city streets are commonly packed with dense traffic. The economical value, high quality construction and styling of the Fortwo are also expected to be attractive to Chinese consumers.
